Kirriemuir

Course:    Kirriemuir Golf Club

Location:   Kirriemuir

Brief description:  On the outskirts of this Angus town there is usually sufficient parking before you check in at the Pro shop. There is a large clubhouse where F&B are available most times, most days.

What to expect of the course: Quite a compact course but not really all that evident until the last 5 holes, 'Kirrie' is a shortish course but well protected with mature trees and shrubbery. Starting at the top of the course it does go up and downhill but not so much that you feel it. It probably does not get the visitor action that it should  which is a shame as it is a very pleasant course and enjoyed by all levels of golfer. The whole club has a community spirit which creates a friendly atmosphere.

What to expect of the overall visit: An enjoyable day out is what to expect. Frustration may creep in if you try and bomb your way round the course, unless of course you are very accurate, so be patient, use course management and you may very well triumph. Failing that the food in the clubhouse is fantastic.
